11 Station Street

11 Station Street is Belleville’s Service Canada Centre. According to Historic Places, it was constructed in 1956 and is is associated with the post-Second World War period of growth and new development, and the expansion of federal government departments and services. The building was a large scale project at the time of its construction, requiring the demolition of several existing buildings and the closing of an existing street. As such, it is a very good example of a significant phase in the development of the local community, to which it contributed. The Government of Canada Building is a Recognized Federal Heritage Building because of its historical associations, and its architectural and environmental values.

Our scope involved exterior brick stone and granite preservation and rehabilitation, replacement of concrete walkways and roof replacement and installation of additional roof drains.
