The Comfort Inn hotel situated downtown Toronto was experiencing multiple building envelope issues.


The roof was holding 3” of water around the perimeter which was going unnoticed because of the existing inverted system that hid this ponding below the stone ballast on the roof. There were waterproofing issues on the east side patio and the parking garage looked very deteriorated and unwelcoming for guests.


Using a holistic approach and through condition reporting, Roof & Building Service came in as one service provider to address the roof and waterproofing. Part of the project included paving the parking garage.


Roof & Building Service was able to pinpoint issues of the building envelope successfully  and prevent further water damage from occurring.
